A collection of trip reports, with photos. (Images and titles link to details.) Divided into Europe and The Americas, then presented in reverse chronological order in each section.
Europe
A favored continent as a travel destination.
Prague Trip Diary
April 28 to May 4, 2013
And these are the details about Prague, from narrowly avoiding a gas explosion to complaining about the food at a concentration camp. Continuation of Budapest Trip Diary and supplement to A Tale of Two Cities.
Amalfi Coast Walking Tour (and Rome)
April 20 to May 1, 2012
Our first Exodus walking trip, onto which we tacked on another visit to Rome. (Which is much busier in late April than in November.) Sore muscles and an initially rainy start, but turned into a glorious vacation week.
Danube River Cruise
April 10 to 18, 2011
Our first and so far only river cruise, on the Danube, from Budapest to Nurnberg. We travelled with my parents, and we all enjoyed the river cruise experience.
The Americas
Mostly parts of Canada, but with some United States and a little bit of Central America.
Zion Sedona Grand Canyon Las Vegas
October 8 to 16, 2011
Overture, curtain, lights. This is it, we hit the heights. Scaling dizzying mountains and descending the grandest of canyons; staying in the fanciest ever hotel rooms, and encountering the biggest rock group of all time (in a sense). In Vegas and area.
Ontario 2010 Fall colour tour
October 2 to 11, 2010
Our trip through Northern Ontario, from October 2 to 11, 2010, wherein we discovered that Northern Ontario can rival France on the restaurant front. And pet a porcupine. (But not at the same time.)
San Francisco, Yosemite, and Napa—All in one week! (Not in that order)
September 26 to October 4, 2009
Our first and, so far, only trip to California. We hiked in the heat in Yosemite, had too much wine in Napa and Sonoma, and took in the culture of San Francisco. Lovely state (at least back then).
